DEPRESSION IS NOT A JOKE!

"THROUGH THE EYES OF DEPRESSION"

Depression is surely not a joke
Mental specialists poke and poke

The pain is deep, the crust is mortar
In search of a bridge over troubled water

Be careful that depression don't take your life
If you give up it has the right

To take what's dear, your mind and soul
It tears you apart both young and old

Be careful that depression don't get you
Cause that's what it's set out to do

To make you feel like you can't go on
Sometimes you wish you were never born

Well, Depression is looking for a friend
But this is where you can put an End

To that ole saying, poor ole me
Get up and open your eyes and see

You're in control good or bad
Be thankful for all that you have had

God has blessed you to see this day
Another chance to straighten the way

Don't give up, someone still cares
Someone needs you just to be there

You may not know who you've touched
They would like to thank you very much

Grab hold on tight to that inner part
Not sorry for yourself, but sorry in your heart

That you had let depression stand in your way
For this precious life it wanted to take

I needed help to see my way through
Maybe you need help when you don't know what else to do

I'm so glad I passed the test
Ole Depression has to find a new address
